Carol Ann Ross has always had a strong affinity for the sea, from her earliest days of exploring the shores of North Carolina’s Topsail Island as a child. Her father used to say there was salt water “in them there veins”, and Carol has never felt the need to disagree. She has spent more hours walking the beach, body surfing the waves, and fishing in the Gulf Stream than she can count. Her stories offer reflections of those experiences.
Carol enjoys writing everything from murder mysteries to paranormal short stories, and has even published a couple of coloring books to help bring the wonder of her local waters to children. She has lived up and down the East Coast through the years, and ventured across the pond to study at Oxford. Topsail Island always brought her back eventually, though she spent the interim periods collecting experiences and friendships and exposure to all kinds of people and places. No matter the genre under which she publishes, her love for the small beach town she grew up in never fails to flavor her stories.
Carol still lives in Topsail’s orbit with her dog Bonnie, and is currently working on the latest addition to her Blue House Series.
